Ski Lessons with ESF
Whether you are a beginner taking your first runs or someone who is just looking to brush up on your technique we recommend the ESF in Les Gets.
The ski school has provided lessons for Hotel Christiania guests - young and old over many years.
We've listed outline costs and timings below and pre-booking is advised especially in high season dates to avoid disappointment.
Lessons for all categories and age groups take place at the same times although they vary during the French Holiday period.

Children Under 5 years old
Lessons from Sunday to Friday for child beginners from 3 to 5 years old.
"PIOU PIOU" : From the age of 3 years. Skiing Discovery. Program : 50 % of the time is devoted to learning to ski and 50 % to indoor or outdoor games in a protected area.
"OURSON" : From the age of 4 years. Introduction to ski in a special area with qualified patient staff and instructors in the best fun atmosphere for their first experiences of skiing. Your child will find the best fun atmosphere for its experiences of skiing and special structures to encourage learning in a reserved ski area.

Children Over 5 years old
Lessons take place from Sunday to Friday with a minimum of 5 persons. The kids are put into differnt classes based on ability from the beginners Flocon (snowflake) Group, through one, two and three star classes.
The first day at ski school can be quite frantic and it is suggested that you are there in plenty of time to drop your kids off and care should be taken not to give your beginner five year old a three star bib in error - I can assure you from experience it happens...
Kids are sometimes moved between classes if they are not in the appropriate group. Lessona are normally two and a half hours in the morning and or afternoon depending on whether you take half or full day. In the high season from 13th of February the lesson times are different with each session being only two hours.

Lessons can be purchased in a variety of ways and with or without ski passes included. You will need a valid Les Gets ski pass for all lessons.

Beginner Pack
If you're looking to make things a little easier on yourself you could advance book a beginner pack for your kids. For children in "beginner" class, "flocon" class and "1ere etoile" class you can book your lessons complete with with group lessons and a six day ski pass at a special price. It saves both time and money and you just collect your tickets from the ESF Desk in resort.

Group Lessons for Adults
As with the child lessons the week's session runs from Sunday to Friday all season with a minimum of 5 persons in each group.
The groups are set by standard of skiing ability and run at the same times as the child lessons above. Again there are the two price options - with or without ski pass.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are a great way to improve specifics of your technique. The lessons are priced for one to two people with additional skiers at 9 € per hour
