Are you looking to do something different this weekend, then why not try the all new Skicolor event. Participants will wear protective white ski suits while skiing the colour ‘explosion’ slope.
The unique new event will be tried for the first time this Saturday on the slopes of Mont Chery skiers ski a specially designed run, “literally diving through an explosion of colour,” according to the tourist office.
The themes of the event are colour and creativity. There will be workshops for children, an interactive fresco and a live DJ and concert on a stage overlooking Mont Blanc. Participants will wear protective white ski suits while skiing the colour ‘explosion’ slope.
The day begins from 10am with the collection of SkiColor packs at the bottom of the Mont-Chéry bubble lift and the opening of the SkiColor Village (at the top of the Mont-Chéry bubble lift). Then there’s a warm up at 1pm at the top of the Télésiège de la Pointe with the start of the SkiColor event in waves from 1.30pm and the DK performing from 3pm.
With Les Gets being an “Eco friendly village”, the coloured powders used are all 100% natural and environmentally friendly.
“ What’s not to love… the contrast of brightly coloured powder against the pure white snow, a thrilling atmosphere with organised children’s activities and live DJ and the breath-taking backdrop of the Mont Blanc mountain chain?” said a resort spokesperson.
Entry costs €6 per child and €10 per adult and the whole family can join it, but places are limited so early booking is recommended. This can be completed online
