About Les Gets

Les GetsWith Lake Geneva on one side and Mont Blanc on the other, Les Gets retains its Savoyard mountain village soul and its heritage that brims with historic and cultural riches. The quality and diversity of the skiing is enough to bring a smile to anyone’s face. With its “Famille Plus Montagne” holiday label, children are treated like kings in Les Gets! In Les Gets, skiers set off from the heart of the village for treelined slopes and snow meadows with sumptuous views and panoramas to take your breath away. Whether you’re an advanced skier or a beginner, in Les Gets you’ll have all the fun you could ever want, and all space you need, to let your skis run and run…

Bars and Restaurants

Dublin InnWhilst not as large as nearby Morzine, Les gets offers plenty of variety by way of bars and restaurants with a good selection of lively pubs offering, pool, real ales, live sports and live music throughout the season. The apres ski in Les Gets is fairly relaxed compared to some other resorts, but there are still places to go for a relaxing beer in the sunshine after a day on the mountain. There is always the Hotel Christiania’s own bar as well! This can be a great place to start your night or if you would like a quieter drink, then our bar lounge with its log fire is an ideal location.

Resort Restaurants

There are a range of restaurants within the village to try, but being a typical French chalet style resort, the restaurants accompany this with many of them being typical Savoyard style food. Places to try would be Vieux Chene, Taniere, Tourbillion and the Ferme de Montagne. Of course if you are taking the kids out for dinner who may not be interested in trying some more traditional foods, there are of course a couple of pizza restaurants including the Tyrol and the Schuss.

Mountain Restaurants

A lot of the mountain restaurants are averagely priced and of a decent standard. At the top of the Rosta chair is La Rossetaz restaurant, which is locally famous for its baguttes. There is also the Taniere at the bottom of the Chavanette chair lift, which has a varied menu and offers reasonable prices. It is often come across to ski back to the village though as the area is fairly compact, so to have a greater range of lunchtime options. And if you have the energy The Igloo nightclub may also be for you!
